Clutter

The secret to achieving what you want out of life begins with the absence of clutter in your environment. With untidiness stagnation occurs and the flow of chi energy is blocked.

What is clutter to you?
  • The “to be filed pile”
  • The “to do” list in your head or on paper
  • Feelings that need to be honored
  • Pictures awaiting albums
  • A crowded living area
  • Kitchen cabinets running over
  • A garage unfit for a car
  • Too much unread E-mail
  • An unorganized closet
While reading the paper or a magazine, I get great pleasure from cutting out articles of interest for people I think of as I read. Thus I create a pile for these people. Piles are my downfall; one for bills; one for articles to send to people; one for magazines to be read; one for papers to be filed and more.

Do you have a pattern too?

Notice the clutter around you and realize how much you are putting up with. “Grow into how little you are willing to put up with it”.* Take it one drawer at a time, one closet, and one pile. Enjoy the SPACE! Growth occurs much faster when there is room for new things, new people, and new ideas to enter your life. Here’s an idea: while waiting on “hold” on your phone, walk to a kitchen drawer and begin to organize. It’s OK to have a junk drawer, just go through it once in a while.

Without great clutter, life becomes simpler and less stressful, opening for you a feeling of joy and happiness. Watch for renewed energy flowing throughout your day.

“Let us then be up and doing… still achieving, still pursuing…” Longfellow

What can you organize today?
What can you give away?
What can you resist buying?
Make your bed every day.

Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.
