Gifts
‘Tis
a gift to be simple,
‘Tis a gift to be free,
‘Tis a gift to come down where we ought to be.
And when we find ourselves
in the place just right.
‘Twill be in the valley of love and delight.

The holiday season is here
and decorating has begun with flowers, wreaths, candles, lights
and greenery. One of my decorating traditions centers on a ceramic
Christmas tree I made many, many years ago. The grandchildren enjoy
finding a special place for it every year and putting the little
colored bulbs on it. The beauty in your home and your special traditions
set a festive stage. Holiday stories, delicious food, classic films
and TV shows afford time to be together.
The
essence of the holiday spirit for our family begins with a Buggy
Ride through a neighborhood to admire the decorations and lights.
We snuggle in the blankets after speaking to our horse, setting
the scene for a cozy ride in the crisp, and hopefully not raining,
air. Afterwards it is time for hot chocolate. Brrrr!
The
simple gifts mean so much and many are free:
A visit to someone who must stay inside,
A
smile to those you pass during your day,
A phone call to a family member or friend,
A grateful heart
A listening ear.
May
you count your blessings and have a
Happy Holiday Season.
With
warm regards,
