Heart Monitor
Recently,
I attended The American Heart Association Women’s Guild “Go
Red” Luncheon. Everyone wore a touch of red, and the decorations
were red, as this is one of the symbols for heart disease, the number
one killer of women. Being a woman, I sat up and took notice. Cardiovascular
disease, however, is not an unequal opportunity disease. More men
have heart attacks earlier in life yet more women die from cardiovascular
disease (estimated: 8.6 million women to 7.9 million men in 2004).
Don’t
wait when you notice any of these signs:
-
Crushing
chest pain
-
Unusual
stomach or abdominal pain
-
Nausea
or dizziness
-
Unexplained
anxiety, weakness or fatigue
-
Palpitations,
cold sweat, or paleness.
Your
choices about the following are very important to a vital life.
-
Lifestyle
-
Smoking
-
Exercise
Routine
-
Physical
Checkups
-
Meal

joy in your life.
Investment

Make
a list of 5 things you can do in 5 days.
Know
your statistics: height, weight, cholesterol level, blood pressure,

The
information shared at the luncheon affected me profoundly, and here
is the message. Please hear it so there will be no catastrophe.
