Precious Moments
Think about the many uses for your time. Every
moment is precious.
Nine months ago, a high school senior had a heart attack playing soccer. (Dallas Morning News, Oct 24, 2005). He had surgery,
recovered, trained, and this fall is on the football team for the
first time; something he has always wanted to do. He is an inspiration
to the team and for him every moment counts.
Elderly people often move from a beloved hometown to an unfamiliar
place in order to spend time with loved ones. Precious moments and
loving encounters are important in their lives.
Think of the life of the Pilgrims. Their time was spent for the
same purpose as ours is today, yet their dawn-to-dusk day was drastically
different from our 24 hour day. We have so many “time-saving”
devices, yet so little time.
For some people it is early to rise and early to bed, others are
late-risers and midnight-oil-burners. Value comes at the end of
the day when you have a feeling of satisfaction from time well spent;
living your passion at work, at home, in your community or at play.
Do you ever say, “I wish I had done this or that,” or
“I regret I didn't do this or that”?
Think about how you adjust to life’s situations.
-
Can you get it all done?
-
Are you responding to the way YOU choose to spend
your time, or reacting to what OTHERS request of your time?
-
Highlight the precious moments in your life,
and listen to your heart.
