Shuffle Your Cards
For me the greatest happiness is family happiness.
During the Christmas holidays, one of my favorite family times is
gathering around the table to play a rousing game of cards. The
decks are shuffled, hands are dealt and personalities emerge as
strategies are implemented. Sometimes the one card needed to fit
in the set combination is illusive; forcing a change in the plan.
The challenge is to be the first to go-out and to have the lowest
score after seven rounds. Our evening is fun, with hot chocolate,
a warm fire and laughter.
In the game of life we have no control over the cards we are dealt.
We are, however, in charge of playing them and putting them in the
order of priority. With a goal in mind, you can define which ones
to hold and which to discard. The strategy is to have the best life
ever and come to the end a winner. Attitude and personality are
key factors in the decision process, along with flexibility to change
the plan when necessary.
What life cards are you holding:
A take-a-leap card?
A healthy habits card?
A job search card?
A get-rid-of-clutter card?
A bountiful relationship card?
A financial reassessment card?
2005 is coming to a close. Look at your hand, shuffle the cards,
discard some and prepare to play the top priority card in 2006.
Consider these Coaching Questions:
- Are you surprised by what is happening in your life?
- Are you inspired to reach a goal?
- How can you put your cards to their highest and best use?
With me as your coach, we will play a winning game.
