Small Things
Several years ago in a coaching class, my assignment was to list
my expectations for the future. One item on that list was: “I
will move in March, 2005”. It hasn’t happened exactly
that way because I am living in the same house. Here it is March,
2006, and I am moving, in the sense that I am going forward in my
life: listening to the subtle clues around me; acting upon the quiet
whispers of my heart; and open to receiving the abundance awaiting
me. My life’s purpose and authentic self are emerging.
Searching for purpose takes a deep look inside toward uniqueness
and fulfillment, contentment and significance. My middle name, Letitia,
means “Joy”, and I do feel purposeful when, as a Life
Coach, I excite people toward joy, love and happiness in life. Coaching
is a powerful process that helps individuals create such an environment.
The small things you do with great love have a rippling effect
on those around you. For me, it is: setting a beautiful table with
fine china and crystal for a family dinner; reading to my grandson
before bed; flying to Memphis for the day to celebrate my granddaughter’s
birthday; a full–moon-pool-party with friends on a summer
night; making homemade rolls for a gift; organizing closets and
files with special people. The focus is on giving joy and making
memories while doing things intentionally with great love. As you
move through today and tomorrow, notice what brings you joy and
what small things you can do with great love.
