An Adventure
Early September found me in the glorious mountains of Colorado, absorbing their strength, their spirit, their majesty. I was visiting long-term, adventurous friends. We hiked, rode ATVs (all terrain vehicles), picked wild flowers and sage, and searched for fallen turkey tail feathers. At the end of one day, we ate fresh-from-a-cold-pond fish. It was an adventure from beginning to end, exploring possibilities and forging ahead into new territory. Think of the feeling you have when you try something brand new – like riding an ATV. For me, it was a four wheeled motor bike! I was nervous and scared. Little by little, I became more and more confident, and even now remember vividly the exhilarated feeling I had driving the ATV down the curvy, rocky mountain. I light up inside and out when I talk about it – a daring adventure for me.
