What is Par?
Guess what? I have taken up golf! Oftentimes I’ve said to friends, “Well, that’s par for the course”; referring to a standard or normal condition. Par took on a whole new meaning for me when, along with a very patient and kind friend, I began to play golf.
Par refers to the score set for each hole on a golf course. According to Arnold Palmer, golfing will be a rewarding experience when I get that little white ball into the hole on the green in the suggested number of strokes. So, I will continue to play boldly.
To reach par in your life would be to have accomplished your dream; having designed it goal by goal. Challenge yourself on the golf course of life to keep on keeping on even when there are obstacles.
-
What is “par” for your life?
-
Are you accomplishing it or something better?
-
Do you design your “course” with intention?
-
Is there a goal that looks like it can’t be done?
