Resilience
Life circumstances change and life’s meaning changes. It takes resilience to recover from or adjust easily to change or misfortune - to ignite that feeling inside that something good will come.

In early March, 2008, I attended the opening of the art exhibit, Backyards and Beyond, in Jackson, MS. Eighty-one paintings by H.C. Porter depict the resilient people and the devastation of Katrina, one of the worst natural disasters in the history of our country. Being a collector of one of the paintings for the two year tour, I want the world to get to know the personal stories of these resilient Mississippians, many of whom attended the opening; and to remember that help is still needed two and a half years later.
Coaching Questions:
-
How do you react when change or misfortune comes into your life?
-
In the aftermath of a failed relationship is it hard for you to say: what is good about this situation?
-
Having created a special project at work that proves unsuccessful, do you say: what’s next?
For those situations when you need to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again, call me. Together we will honor your resilience and discover ‘what’s next’.
