The Longest Minute
In following my bliss, I choose my passion for adventure.
As a flight attendant, I flew at 13,500 feet a lot, yet on a recent Saturday, a door opened at that height and my grandson and I JUMPED OUT!!!!
Skydiving was something I had wanted to do for a long, long time, so when my grandson said he wanted to do it too; I put it on the calendar for his birthday.
Free falling tandem for 60 seconds was the longest minute ever! I felt the exhilaration of the strong wind in my face as I traveled down at 120 mph; my ears popping and my heart thumping. My tandem partner pulled the cord at 6,000 ft and we stopped falling with a jerk. He said, “You’ll be glad to know we have a good chute”. Thank goodness.
Quite a ride and adrenalin rush. Still can’t believe I have done it.
