Garage Sale
There is a garage sale in my very near future – guess it has been 20 years since my last one. How exciting and fun this is, as I am clearing the clutter from each drawer, closet, and cabinet, even the attic!! The pile is getting high in the garage, and friends will help me organize and price items next week.
With all this cleared out, I feel light and happy: room for new thoughts and new ideas to come in, maybe new clothes, too.
Think of a crammed, unorganized closet where one can not find outfits, shoes to match or feel pressed and fresh for the day. Now think of a clutter-free closet and smile. Doing with less and enjoying what you do have is the ticket of the day. Garage sales are not for everyone, yet ridding your environment of unused, unloved, and uncared for items is important.
Use this formula for each item: is it precious, is it beautiful, or is it useful? If it doesn’t fit any of these categories, find a new home for it. Your energy will be revitalized.
