Healthy with the Eights

Many newspaper, magazine articles, TV programs and conversations after the New Year seem to focus on health and weight. If this newsletter finds you in a good place with these issues, congratulations; if not, I present unto you a powerful yet simple daily routine to maintain your health, so you will not have to part with your money:

Healthy with the Eights

  • 8 Hours of Sleep
  • 8 Glasses of Water
  • 8 Deep Breaths
  • 8 Minutes of Laughter a Day
  • 8x8 Minutes of Walking
  • 8 Hugs
  • 8 Fruits and Vegetables

Remember: an apple a day keeps the doctor away. How about it? Green vegetables eaten raw provide defense against cancer and a give the liver a boost. Hydration is easy to do yet difficult to accomplish: concentrate on it. Walk out of your front door, meet a buddy and voila 64 minutes! Those deep breaths, laughter minutes and hugs are easily forgotten on a busy day. Be conscious of them. Ever find yourself asleep in your chair? Get ready for sleep early then take time to write your gratitudes for the day.

  1. What small step will you take today, and all tomorrows?
  2. Are you listening to your body?
  3. Is your eating environment a pleasant, peaceful and unhurried one?
  4. How can you create laughter and ask for hugs each day?
